Yesterday, Nov. 19, Peterborough City Council voted down the proposed 25% cut to arts and community organizations. The Council was contending with massive opposition from constituents. 

I want to thank everyone who participated in signing the petition. I did not submit it to Council directly, but Mayor Jeff Leal and all the Councilors received a CC on every signature each time it was signed. So at least part of the pressure to rescind the cuts came from all of you!
