A big thank you to Irish slimming company, Unislim, for responding positively to an appeal and moving its Waterford slimming class out of a greyhound track where dogs suffer and die.
The company was contacted by Greyhound Awareness Cork after those attending a protest outside Kilcohan Park stadium spotted a sign advertising Unislim classes at the track every Wednesday and Saturday. The cruelty and killing in greyhound racing was highlighted, including the dogs injured and killed at the Waterford track.
In a response today, Unislim stated: “We’d like to confirm that we’ve moved venues. From tomorrow, Wednesday 25th September, our class will be held in Butler Community Centre, Saint John's Park, Waterford. Spread the word and race on down!”
