Shame on FBD Insurance for continuing to sponsor the cruel greyhound industry, despite being made aware of the suffering and killing of dogs. One of the races at Kilkenny track on 9th May was the "FBD Insurance A7 525". https://www.igb.ie/results/view-results/?track=KKY&date=09-May-18#race3 FBD has been sponsoring greyhound racing for at least 15 years. No company should support an industry which involves so much suffering and death. In the past three years alone, over a thousand greyhounds have suffered injuries at tracks around Ireland and 385 were destroyed by track vets. This includes 31 injuries reported at Kilkenny track and 11 dogs destroyed. The dogs sustained injuries to legs, wrists, shoulders, backs, tails, muscles and toes. An estimated 10,000 greyhounds go missing each year in Ireland (presumed killed when found to be not quick enough to win races).
