IR-1777 “tabled”

Update: as of now bill IR-1777 Proposed ban on animal shows in suffolk county has been “tabled” meaning it will be paused and changed in the next few weeks. I would like to see this bill vetoed as it is simply unnecessary. Suffolk County NY already has various animal welfare laws and an SPCA with full law enforcement powers of arrest and search warrant. NYSDEC even has a “Dangerous Animal Law” that states anyone harboring a wild or dangerous animal in New York State that causes injury to the public can be prosecuted as a felony.
