Hi all, I wanted to let you know that we now have 208 signatures on this petition. Thank you so much for your support!

Listen to Dr. Karen Brown's story. Sadly, she was a victim of substance abuse. Her sister warns that addiction DOES NOT discriminate. Dr. Brown held a doctorate in education and was a minister.

Can we count on you to help us get more signatures by sharing this petition with ten other people on social media? Facebook groups, SMS chats, Twitter, email, and WhatsApp all work great. If more of us sign, we cannot and will not be ignored!

Thank you all for supporting us and our goal to break substance abuse stigmas and help those struggling get the help they deserve. Let's be real, telling someone they're going to die because they chose drugs instead of offering a number for help is not okay.

A national study published out of Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital shows that 75% of people with addiction get better when they get help. This study applied even to those who have used hard drugs over long periods of time. Once they received the support and treatment they needed, they were able to live full and successful lives. That’s 20 million people in recovery nationwide.
