Stop the Spray BC

13 July 2017
A naturally regenerating interior forest will have lots of aspen, and they have aspen for a reason- they are less likely to burn. It's nature's way of tempering the menace of forest fires. But in much of BC, it is government policy to eliminate the trees that can make our forests burn less. This is one reason why we need to keep the pressure up, and demand that we stop spraying our forests with herbicide to permanently kill the trees that can make our forests stronger and more robust. Right now we are sitting at 2,464 signatures, closing in on 2500. If you haven't already done so, spread the word, and check out our facebook page, @stopthespraybc. We just posted a new video showing how forests with aspen are less likely to burn. It's time we got our forestry professionals to acknowledge the important role these trees can play in our forests.
