Peskin ask for our support to stop SFMTA’s plans to extend parking meter hours: https://metermadness.wordpress.com
From Aaron Peskin:
Thank you for contacting me and sharing your opposition to SFMTA’s decision to extend parking meter hours into the evenings and Sunday. I agree with you that SFMTA shouldn’t balance their budget on the backs of small businesses.
My resolution urging the SFMTA and its Board of Directors to halt implementation of their hasty proposal until the Board of the Supervisors and SFMTA Board can review an independent economic impact analysis is on today’s Board of Supervisors meeting agenda.
You can read the full text of Item 41 here and offer your support during general public comment. You can join in person in the Board Chamber at City Hall Room 250 or give remote comment using the call-in information below: PUBLIC COMMENT CALL-IN 1 (415) 655-0001
Meeting ID: 2597 505 9523 # # (Press *3 to enter the speaker line) I have a long track record of supporting capital and operations funding for SFMTA and will be looking closely at fiscal solutions to the city’s budget deficit that do not sacrifice the economic recovery of our small business.
Thank you for your support,
Aaron Peskin
There are two actions you may take to stop SFMTA and Save our Businesses that are dying because of SFMTA.
1. Support the Resolution # 230587 to delay implementing meter hour extension by writing to the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor. Contacts: https://discoveryink.wordpress.com/san-francisco-officials/
2. 2. Support the charter Amendment # 230986 SFMTA is fighting that would put remove some of their powers and authorities by creating an oversight process by writing the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor.
