Last night I received a message from my (Southwark) council's "Cabinet Member for Housing" and I have been pushing her now to hold a public forum to address concerns of those in the borough over fire safety on all the properties they have a responsibility for. We need you to go out and do the same. Get the details of your local council's relevant people from the internet, and email them or call them to demand a public forum. You will have questions, and they should answer them. Certain media tried to classify those who protested last night outside the Kensington Town Hall as a mob - www.dailymail.co.uk/.../Angry-mob-storms-Kensington-Town-Hall-Grenfell-fire.html We are angry, and we have a right to be. Our politicians are scared. But we are no rioting mob. We know our rights, and we are just remembering how to use our voices. Go to your politicians, the ones you voted for, and demand to see them. Safety is not a Grenfell thing, it's not a London thing, it affects each and every one of us. Don't accept anything less than a public forum. They will not divide and rule us!
