Calgary City Council Chambers 

The hearing will take place regarding the land redesignation from RC-2 to HG-0 which is the subject of this petition.  Four homes will be demolished, mid-block, with bungalows on either side.  The proposed structure will be 110 M in length and 12 M in height.  There will be 4 buildings, 2 front and 2 back of the lots.  The owners and developers plan 33 units (1/2 basement).  The current tree canopy of mature trees will be lost and replaced by trees and bushes with insufficient light and space to live. 

We understand that developers will speak first on the morning of Dec. 3, followed by residents of West Hillhurst and neighbours of the massive complex.  Entirely out of character with West Hillhurst, traffic and parking issues, absence of green space... you have read the petition and know the rest.  

Please attend if you are available to support those of us who will present the reasons why this "abomination" (as one neighbour calls) it should not be built using the current design and density.  If HG-O is confirmed then, as they say, the sky is the limit, very few rules. 

If attending please allow time to go through a security inspection and metal detectors.  No food or drinks allowed in the council chambers (water cooler available inside).
