9 Jan 2015 — ATTENTION: Reverse-Sting victims, and those who hold them down & support their cause. We've been prosecuted & sentenced under a policy that has been under fire & scrutiny by judges & media outlets across the country. For over a decade now, many issues have been raised during pre-trial & post conviction proceedings attacking this policy to no avail. But for the first time there seems to be a unified disdain spreading amongst the judges that are forced to hand down draconian sentence's because of the Mandatory Minimum's triggered by these imaginary crimes, and the family & loved one's of those who have fell victim to them. Helping the matter is the fact that media is now bringing about public awareness. Now I know that as the years continue to pass, and the appeal process dries up, we're trained to believe that we must sit back, do the time, and wait for something to happen. Laws change all the time, right??? How's that been working out for us??? If you're just coming into the system just ask someone that has 10 or 20 plus years in as a result of a "Reverse-Sting". Shit is Real, and that philosophy about waiting on change is stale!!! We have to advocate & push for the change we wanna see!!! Allow me to clarify something. The lower courts (District/Circuit) don't make the laws & policies that govern this country. They're vested with the authority to interpret & enforce those laws by the Constitution, and through Congress & the Supreme Court (Congress makes the laws, and the Supreme Court offers clarity on the enforcement of those laws). Congress drafts policies, votes on them, and enacts those that receive adequate support. But the 535 members of Congress (100 U.S. Senators, and 435 U.S. Representatives) are simply publicly elected officials. They are elected by our families, loved one's, friend's, neighbor's, and supporter's. The same people who draft, vote on, and enact the policies that govern this nation are awarded that power by OUR people. So the 100% truth is that the citizens of this country draft the policies through their UNIFIED voices & actions. With that being said, the #ReverseSting.Org/ReverseStingAwareness movement is a network of individuals from across the country (some society based, others currently confined) who have merged together for a common agenda - Justice & Reform!!! Our mutual & collective passion regarding getting these controversial reverse-sting tactics abolished being what's most important. OUR mission is to get everybody home to their families. Now you may ask yourself: "how do we accomplish this mission, and what role do each of us play"???? Well this isn't the easiest question to answer, but I'm sure that together we can figure it out. Step One is definitely advocacy, so please educate those closest to you and encourage them to follow & advocate for the movement by signing our petition at www.reversesting.org and forwarding our post @reversesting.org (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter).
