UPDATE 7/29/13: The victim has been identified as Timothy E. Mclaughlin, 61. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A pedestrian trying to cross Beaver Street was struck and killed by a Jacksonville Transit Authority bus Saturday night. The unidentified man in his 50's, maybe early 60's, was partially across Beaver St. when the JTA bus making a left hand turn from Newnan St. struck him around 8:45 p.m., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The female bus driver was shaken up, but not injured.
