A planning application for pumping treated effluent water from Budds Farm Waste Water Treatment Works in Bedhampton to the Havant Thicket Reservoir has been submitted to the Secretary of State who will make the final decision on the proposal.

The original planning application under which the reservoir is currently being constructed in Havant Thicket  was agreed by the Planning Committee at  Havant Borough Council and was for a spring water fed reservoir.
