Pete's Fresh Market is up and coming.  They currently have 12 stores which 11 sell rabbit from "China" dirt cheap, NO rules or regulations, NO USDA inspections, little if none FDA inspections.  Pete's Market is located from Oak Brook to Bridgeview.  They are opening another store in Willowbrook.  We've contacted their Corporate meat buyer Paul V with NO resolution.  This needs to STOP.  In the Chicago land area NO larger grocery stores sell the Rabbit Meat in their stores - none!   Yes it is absolutely the one with the white fur and pink eyes (above).  This IS the one. Rabbits are certified Pet Therapy Bunnies compete in hopping/ agility contests in the 4H, Bunny Yoga classes plus lot's more.  Pete's Fresh Market has been selling it for 7 years.  WE don't need another food source.  There are plenty.  Meat rabbits are New Zealands and Californian's from 8 - 12 weeks old - just babies.   China keep them in absolutely horrible conditions. I personally have a Family Pet Rabbit, a Californian - Kringle who is very smart, loving and adores his girlfriend Krissy and best friend Ebenezer.   Let Pete's Market know you aren't happy and they need to STOP selling Rabbit Meat all together.  Thank you!!
