The CANCELLATION of the July 29, 2026 Trial Date to Accommodate the Respondent Father's VACATION

Lubna Yousef AldahlehLondon, Ontario, Canada
Jul 13, 2026

On July 7, 2026, the Respondent Father insested before the Judge that the continuation of the trial scheduled for July 29, 2026, be adjourned because of his pre-arranged INTERNATIONAL FAMILY VACATION outside Kuwait from July 24 to September 5, 2026. He advised the Court that, ALTHOUGH the hearing would proceed by ZOOM (FOR HIM) and despite the fact that all the materials are uploaded through Case-Center "On-line", participating while travelling would create practical difficulties and therefore requested that the continuation of the trial be scheduled after mid-September.

The Trial Continuation on July 29, 2026, and / or any further dates during the summer HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

The Court accommodated the Respondent Father's request and adjourned the REMAINING trial days ignoring the other parties' - including the children's- interest of finalize the trial ASAP during the summer vacation. The continuation of the trial was subsequently scheduled for:

September 28, 2026
September 29, 2026
October 1, 2026
October 2, 2026
October 26, 2026
October 27, 2026
October 28, 2026
October 29, 2026
October 30, 2026

Which will be during the school year and conflict with the mother's job (The primary financial responsible parent for the three children.)

I respectfully understand the Court's generosity willingness to accommodate the Respondent Father's scheduling conflict to grant him a convenience international vacation.

I now respectfully request more important consideration of my own unavoidable employment obligations. Unlike the Respondent Father, I am the SOLE FINANCIAL PROVIDER  RESPONSIBLE FOR MEETING ALL OF THE BASIC  NEEDS for the three children and must attend the trial in person while maintaining full-time employment as a teacher.

The Court declined my request to participate virtually via Zoom to minimize the impact on my employment. As a result, I am required to be physically present at the courthouse throughout each trial day. Although the trial is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m., the proceedings have frequently started later, followed by a lunch recess from approximately 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., with the hearing resuming until approximately 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.

Consequently, I am required to miss my teaching responsibilities from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and again during the afternoon recess, despite no court proceedings taking place during those periods. This significantly increases the impact on my employment, particularly when compared with the Respondent Father, who has been permitted to participate remotely via Zoom from Kuwait without any apparent conflict with his employment as he is self employee, and there is 7 hours difference time .

In addition, the Respondent Father has refused to provide financial support for the children, despite this family law proceeding having been before the Court since 2022.

He has also failed to comply with the Court's Costs Order dated September 16, 2025, requiring him to pay $2,824.42, representing the minimum costs awarded to me following the five motions heard on July 11, 2025. To date, those costs remain unpaid. Up to date, there is no consequences on the father by the Hounorable Court of Justice, even if everything so far against the children's interest.

The currently scheduled dates require an extended absence from work at the beginning of the school year, placing my employment and my family's only source of income at risk. Given these circumstances, I respectfully ask the Court to consider the children's best interests by ensuring that the primary caregiver's only source of income is not placed at risk while this trial is completed. The court has already extended the proce
