Osceola County has designated an urban growth boundary leaving nearly 60% of the county in agricultural and conservation. If the property is within the urban growth boundary, it will already have a future land use that was approved by the State of Florida.

We are one of the fastest growing counties in the state and top 10 in the nation. We are required to show how we plan to keep pace with the growth.

Much of the county is changing with our expansive population growth. If the developments meet our codes and other requirements, I am inclined to vote in favor. There are circumstances that could affect my decision.

We will discuss at our board meeting as developments come forward. The developments are required to do traffic studies and also environmental studies.
