For those concerned about the spread of “skill game” machines in Virginia’s neighborhoods, we wanted to share an important update. Legislation legalizing “skill games” has now cleared the General Assembly and is heading to Governor Spanberger’s desk.

The Governor should veto this legislation. If signed into law, this bill would allow “skill games” to operate in gas stations, convenience stores, and other locations across the Commonwealth. These have no place in Virginia communities. They target working families and bring gambling into everyday neighborhood businesses.

The Governor now has the opportunity to stop this expansion of neighborhood gambling.
