You generously signed the petition about the Alzheimer’s Society’s TV and cinema advertisements about dying again and again from dementia. 

As many of you found the videos distressing, I want to let you know that the advertisements are already being broadcast again, with an added small reference to where people might find support at the end. The plan was to start them next Tuesday, and I hoped to let you know before they started, but you may already have seen them. 

You may want to let people know this who might be affected. But the society has asked for feedback, and you can to contact the Alzheimers' Society direct:

This issue does not take away from all the excellent work the Alzheimer's Society does, which we support and have benefitted from.

Please take this in your own hands. Dementia organisitions are already responding, and there will be a press release going out soon. It may be time to take this to the press, and obviously it's your decision what to do, if anything.

Do let us know what happens. We’re getting back to our broader involvement in supporting positive approaches to dementia, but we still care deeply about this campaign.
