For over two weeks now roads to mountain Amulsar are closed. A working group is now set by the government to assess this project, its risks mentioned by scientific groups, how the company obtained permits, etc. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the site on July 6 and talked to both sides offering the activists to open the roads and the company pausing its construction works, while the working group will act. Yet the company disagreed, so activists continue keeping the roads shut.
