Sorry for the late notice on this, I only found out today! Also, apologies if you get this multiple times tonight, it's important so I'm sending to multiple petitions.

A collective switch is when a company (Uswitch in this case) gets a bunch of their customers/users together to agree that they want a cheap deal. Uswitch will then go to all of the energy suppliers and say something like "I got 50,000 customers who want to switch, what's the best deal you can give?". Then the energy suppliers will bid, cheapest tariffs win. 

It is genuinely one of the best ways to save money on your energy bill, we haven't seen a collective in a few years so I'm glad they're back. 

To Be Eligible

To be eligible, you have to sign up - start by clicking the link at the top of this update. Any of the below options will make you eligible for the Collective Switch:

• Be a Uswitch.com account holder, or
• Have consented to email marketing from Uswitch.com, or
• Have consented to email marketing from Confused.com, or
• Have consented to email marketing from Zoopla.co.uk partners.

If any of those are true for you, you're already eligible to switch. If not, click the link at the top, run through a price comparison and agree to marketing at the last step when you put your email address or create an account with Uswitch. Either of those two options will make you eligible.

As there is an expectation that the price cap will fall by around £130 from April, I'm expecting that the deal that will be offered should be SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than the current price cap, but that's just my opinion.
