I've written an article about some of the bigger recent announcements that will affect your household budget, it's a bit of a longer read because there is a lot to digest, but i recommend giving it a read! 

Interestingly, the Sizewell C annonucement came out today and E.ON Next have removed their cheap tariff from the top fo the comparison tables - to me this indicates a prediction that energy prices will rise significantly in the next year due to the cost of Sizewell C being added to our bills, so E.ON Next are increasing their prices in preparation of this. In fairness, they were significantly cheaper than other suppliers and they've just dropped to being around the same price now - there are savings to be had there, so if you are on a variable tariff then I recommend switching to a fixed rate tariff asap!
