Hey everyone,

Save Over £150 per year on your energy bills

I've been keeping an eye on Uswitch's platform for a decent fixed rate tariff for the last few weeks, because we all know the cap is going up from 1 April. The actual announcement of the 1 April price cap will be tomorrow morning, but everyone's certain it'll be about £1,823.

Anyway, there's finally a decent cheap fixed rate tariff available. The tariff currently available on Uswitch is priced at £1,666, over £150 cheaper than April's predicted cap, you can find more information about that tariff and how to get it on the link above.

I seriously recommend moving to a fixed rate tariff, I'm on one at the moment and will always be on one. The price cap is expected to rise 3 times this year, in April, July and October, so if you're still on a "Default" or "Standard Variable" tariff, then your prices are going to go up with the cap. If you're on a fixed rate tariff already, thats great, ignore this message because the price cap doesn't affect you.

Remember, if you're on a fixed rate tariff but you have less than 49 days (7 weeks) left on your contract period, you can change to a cheaper new fixed rate tariff and no incur any exit fees, these are Ofgem rules and you are protected. If you supplier still adds the exit fees to your account and you're certain that you've got less than 49 days left on your contract, then it is likely a simple error on your supplier's part, just call them to get it rectified, these things happen sometimes.

Anyway, check out the blog above. I'll be back tomorrow with an update on the price cap, please do subscribe to my blog as it means you'll get notified as soon as I post the update.

Thanks all,
