Blog: Why you should fix your energy tariff now: Table and Graphs
Switch: Save over £150 on your energy bill before it's too late
Hey everyone,
There's been loads of news recently about the new predictions for the price cap from April, which will actually be announced in about 2 weeks. Some predictions are forecasting as much as a 7% increase in energy bills from April, with further increases predicted for both July and October this year, which is worrying.
The first link above takes you to an article I wrote with a comparison of different tariffs in the market and how the predicted caps are expected to turn out. The second link takes you to Uswitch so you can get a cheaper deal now.
If your tariff is any of the following, then you need to look at switching now really because these tariffs are set by Ofgem's price cap, meaning they are the most expensive in the country:
- British Gas - Standard Variable
- EDF - Standard (Variable)
- E.on Next - Next Flex
- Octopus - Flexible Octopus
- Ovo - Simpler Energy
- Scottish Power - Standard
We've got a consultation response to send this week and we'll be getting involved with the UK Government's review of Ofgem, so keep you eye out for my messages over the next two weeks.
Thanks all,
Richard Winstone
