Uswitch: find cheaper broadband bills
ACTION: Fixed Term should be Fixed Price! Ofcom petition
Hey everyone,
As I said last week, Ofcom have made a poor decision, they've settled on banning mid-contract price rises from being inflation-linked. This means they are allowing broadband, mobile phone and TV package companies to continue to increase the price of our contracts in the middle of the term but now they have to tell us the exact pound-and-pense figure of the increase prior to us signing the contract.
This will provide us more clarity, but it doesn't solve the problem of fixed term contracts not being fixed price contracts!
I've emailed Ofcom asking for another review, but I need your help to contact them as well please. The second link above gives all the instructions and the email you need to send, so please get involved and contact Ofcom asap.
Don't forget to share this petition around as well. We were at 60,000 signatures when I first contacted Ofcom and we've over doubled that in the last couple of months. We need to keep this momentum up so please share links to this petition on your social media pages or with friends and family you think will be interested in our cause!
Thanks everyone, let me know if you have any questions at Richard@TheRegulatorGuy.co.uk.
