Hi everyone!
As you all know, I started be The Regulator Guy last month, and I'm now looking at my first big project. With the general election coming up, if we want to make changes to how Ofgem operate (which we definitely do, they're not working in our favour) then I think it's best to do this as a formal piece of work.
I'm starting with a new petition to receive support for the report. I'll be posting updates to that petition on the structure of the project and updates on how it's going, but the ultimate goal is to do a review of Ofgem's role in the entire cost-of-living crisis we're in and then to provide recommendations on regulatory reform to the new Government after the next general election. I'm starting this work now because it'll take a few months to go through the work Ofgem have conducted over the last two years.
Please, sign the new petition (link at the top of this post) if you support this piece of work and please, please, please share the new petition around. Post it on your social media pages, email it to friends and colleagues, talk to your family about it and ask everyone to sign, we need to get similar support for the new petition and we have had on this one. Last time it resulted in us getting an invite to regular monthly meetings with Ofgem, this time we're looking to get involved with Government directly.
Thanks everyone, enjoy the rest of your weekend.
