Dear Friends,
As we enter the final week before the Medicare public comment period closes on May 16, we want to begin with something simple and sincere: thank you.
This has been an extraordinary advocacy effort. In a short time, this community has come together in a deeply unified way - sharing stories, signing, commenting, calling, and standing up for one another. It has been truly powerful to witness.
We are now approaching 1,300 petition signatures, each one representing a voice helping protect access to individualized blepharospasm treatment.
Last week, BEBRF participated in a MAC webinar, noted some changes in the proposal language, and reaffirmed our opposition to any limits on individualized treatment.
This progress matters - but we remain vigilant.
What BEBRF Is Doing This Week
- Continuing direct outreach with MACs, CMS, and decision-makers
- Coordinating final signatures, comments, and video submissions
- Organizing and reviewing all community input for submission
- Delivering materials before May 16 via email and overnight mail
