Thank you for signing this petition. It's great to see so many people sharing the same feelings and views towards this. The lack of consultation and due diligence shown by the Home Office and UK Government is bewildering. Please do continue to share this petition and being more awareness to this issue.
Some Positive New
There was a further meeting today with local MPs and Senior Police representatives (unfortunately the Home Office declined to attend). The strength of support shown by all the local MPs was clear....this will be fought all the way. A link to the live stream can be found below

- A request has been made to the home office to go back on its decision to use Linton on Ouse for such a purpose.
- Multiple refugee charities have been in contact supporting our position and offering their help. They agree the location is just not conducive to a positive experience and good welfare of the refugees on the basis the site is too isolated. There are limited services, amenities and transport links.
- Legal action is been discussed
- Community support is building from wider communities
What more can you do to help?
- Write to your local MPs asking them to support this campaign.
- Spread the word on social media.....share news reports, this petition, ask questions of those you have elected.
- Join in future awareness events.
Above all, be Inquisitive. There are multiple reviews, reports and findings that highlight over the past 2 - 3 years the Home Office have showed a repeat pattern of such behaviour. No consultation, retrospective apologies, lip service, broken promises and above all, poor results that change the life's of refugees and communities for the worse.
No consideration for refugee wellbeing. No consideration for the public. No consideration for local authorities and police resource.
Democracy is dead
