The public hearing into Arkall Farm is now complete. Tamworth Borough Council and your local Councillors have presented our case against the development to the Planning Inspector. As part of this process I have passed a copy of this petition, containing over 1400 signatures, to the Planning Inspector. This petition is a clear demonstration of how much the local community opposes this development. It has been the single biggest statement from the public presented to the Planning Inspector. The Inspector will now go away and make a decision based on the arguments presented and the evidence gathered. Once the result is known it will be linked to this petition. I will present a second copy of the petition to Lichfield District Council as it contains over 1000 signatures. A petition to Lichfield District Council with more than 1,000 signatures will trigger a report that will have to be considered by the council's Executive.
