You will be aware that Tamworth Borough Council successfully convinced the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government to call in the planning application for Arkall Farm. The application is now being reviewed by the Planning Inspectorate and subject to a public hearing. Lichfield District Council have a duty to write to all previous public objectors setting out the times, dates, rules and online access of the enquiry - as well as inviting them to submit a response. However you may not have received this letter, so I wanted to make sure you are aware of what is happening. The battle to stop this unwanted and disastrous development on our boarders is still far from over. Now you need to get involved again to make our views heard. Even if you objected to Lichfield District Council in the past or signed the online petition. You need to take action NOW! The inspector will have the final say on this development after hearing arguments from the developer and Lichfield District Council, then from the opposes which include Tamworth Borough Council and local residents. However if we don’t get our views in to the Inspector, they will only have half the story. The inquiry will commence at 10.00 am on the 16th January 2018 and will run for at least six days. You can make your views known very easy, just click this link and registering your views online - https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/ViewCase.aspx?caseid=3174379 We need all objections and comments submitted quickly, so they can be taken account of by the Inspector. You can also watch the inquiry and it is really important that people attend. Members of the public and interested parties can attend the inquiry and even speak against Arkall Farm. If you want to watch the hearing or speak, you can view the schedule of the inspection here - https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/ViewDocument.aspx?fileid=22189593 However if no one writes in, no one asks to speak or no one turns up at the inquiry, the Inspector won’t know we are concerned about this development. You need to make your views known to the Planning Inspector and, if you can, attend the hearings. If you are having trouble with any of the above links, the application reference number is APP/K3415/V/17/3174379 and the main website for the planning inspector is https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/ Please ensure your views are registered with the Planning Inspector, as the battle over Arkall Farm is nearing its final stage.
