New Cheshire East consultation

Cheshire East Council are currently running a public consultation on how their latest Bus Service Improvement Money is to be spent, and thoughts on a proposal to increase the Stockport-Poynton-Middlewood section of the 391 to hourly, reintroducing the 3rd bus that was axed when the timetable decreased from 90mins to 2hrly.

The proposal is welcome, and would double the number of buses in Poynton however is this the best use of a 3rd bus on the route, considering the entire 391/2 used to be hourly to Macclesfield with 4 buses and the every 90mins with 3?

Are the council wasting valuable BSIP funds on the bare minimum? Could they, should they be aspiring to do more and pushing Belle Vue to invest in the service?
