STOP USING BLACK BEAR SKINS-KILLING OUR BLACK BEARS TO ADORN THE ROYAL GUARDS? How terrible. Shame on you...please
by LARS OLE MORTENSEN
Queen Margrethe of Denmark and Queen Elizabeth II of United Kingdom and now the new King Charles ...Bears are being killed (1,000's) to a d o r n your royal guard hats to protect royalty. There are dozens of monarchy countries of world royal family that kill Canadian black bears each year.
Queen Elizabeth of ENGLAND Queen Margrethe of DENMARK have relinquished their thrown to their next-in-line children. There are still demands (a great time to give attention to this cause because of new blood in the royal picture) for more politically correct imitation material hats for guards in front of the castle and the parades of hundreds of guards at the birthday Trooping The Color annual Spring event. Do they have the intention to follow in the footsteps of their previous Queen?
Some years ago British Queen Margrethe made a New Year's speech about the environment. However, she showed no interest in stopping the use of our Canadian black bears for the royalty guard hats
The black bears are hunted each year, shooting them and selling their fur for special customers around the world. Those special customers are the countries of the monarchy
One of those clients are the Danish royal family since 1805 which they have used the fur to make hats to guard their castles.
Originally, soldier might appear larger than a potential enemy. That's right, the ONLY real reason the royalty guards were forced to use these bear skin hats was to show superiority and larger than the enemy. Now their functions each day are for the enjoyment to the tourists at Amalienborg Square in Denmark and Buckingham palace in England as well as all the other royal functions at castles occupied by the monarchy families.
As we all know the bear skin is warm and to create these bearskin hats for these guard, each time they wear them they suffer in the Spring and Summer heat.
Did you know: more than one bear that is needed to create a bear skin hat !!
There are no plans to change the use of bear skins for these hats.
In Denmark's royalty, the Danish soldier's hats are manufactured by a Canadian black bear and they subsequently stain the skins black. The bears are protected, but every year a certain number are shot to replenish the older hats.
The Danish royalty made a comment that they have made attempts at using artificial cloth to replicate the bearskin, but it becomes static and you can not breathe through the fabric. Look, they are so selfish just thinking the comfort of the soldiers. What about our black bears?
I had noticed that my petition had closed...So I wanted update and to re open this forum-petition to continue discussion.
Please support our cause to stop the killing and use of black bear's skin to adorn the royalty guards.
