This petition is not merely a request, it's a call born out of my personal struggle. As someone living with disabilities in the United Kingdom, I directly experience the challenges and discriminative practices suffered by people like me. This struggle isn't just ours but is shared by the families, carers, and every individual who is associated with us.

The UK government's ongoing approach has been continuously undermining the rights and needs of people with disabilities. This is not just a violation of basic human rights but also harms the community's equity and integrity. We must stand against this.

The Equality Act of 2010, itself testifies that disability discrimination is a hurdle for us, yet the government's strategies often prevail over the well-being of the disabled community. According to Scope's Disability Price Tag report (2019), more than half (53%) of families with disabled members are in poverty. Despite this, policy changes continually ignore our needs.

We come together to take a stand against any practices that unfairly target our community, seeking to prejudice our right to live with dignity and equality. We urge the UK government to revisit their policies considering the needs, dignity, and rights of people living with disabilities and to ensure an inclusive, equitable environment for all.

It's time to speak up, be heard, and create a difference. Please sign this petition, let our shared voice resonate and bring the change we desire. Together, we can make a difference.
