As you may already know, on Tuesday, May 16, City Council approved the resolution containing the legal written findings that support City Council’s action on August 23, 2022 to deny JP23 their business license.  Here’s a link to the LB Post article.

We gave public testimony in support of this action as well as asked City Council to:

• Reject any future actions by this operator and affiliated operators who might apply for a business license and/or try to reopen
• Close any loopholes that may allow this operator and affiliated operators to operate the club
• Place a flag on the address so that future applications can be scrutinized to ensure a responsible business owner is vetted

We have been in touch with the City Attorney’s office and we have been assured that they are monitoring the site.  We were told that the community should contact the police if they see anything occurring at the location.

We are continuing to monitor the situation closely since a recent online ad advertises a May 21 event.  We will keep the petition open so please continue to encourage others to sign.
