My mother fought for 5 months, and had it been just the brain bleed and stroke she was recovering and actually way ahead of where she should have been following what had happened. However, my mother developed a bed sore - pressure ulcer that literally covered her entire lower back. So deep that it left the tailbone exposed. The infection had reached her bones, and she was on a heavy antibiotic delivered by IV that was directly put in her chest. On 8/26 she finished the antibiotics and the day after she developed a fever and started to decline. She was admitted to the local ICU and basically the infection had spread to her blood and was being pumped through her heart to the other parts of the body. There was nothing that could be done. On 9/1 at 8:03pm my beautiful mother, best friend, and my world left this physical world behind and went to be with our Lord. She is up there with some of the most amazing people who we have lost through the years. I just know her best friend Jane was right there with open arms greeting her. The full reality has not hit me yet, but I know that she is in a much better place, no more pain, no more suffering and this world cannot hurt her anymore. Please keep my father in your prayers as that was the love of his life and soulmate. Navigating this world without her is something that neither one of us want to do or at this time not real sure if it's even possible.
If you did read this, Thank you! Please sign if you can and if not please share this. I have reached out to various decision makers, representatives, congressman, etc. Not one of them has responded and to me that speaks volumes. If we want this world to change its going to be on us to do it. Those that turned a blind eye to this entire situation and those that hid behind their desks and titles will also be included in wherever this petition leads me. I will not stop until there is real change in this country and those that sit idle with no action or plan but still collect that paycheck every month will answer for this and everything else that they have done.
This started with one person! Dianne M. Slogaski and as of today this is not just for her, but this is for EVERY SINGLE person that has been neglected, denied, discarded like trash, and those that have died due to negligence from our medical system.
This is only the beginning! Let's fight this together and let's make real change starting today........
