GRANT COUNTY UNDER ATTACK - DECISION PENDING ON SOLAR

PLEASE ATTEND MONDAY AUGUST 15th 6pm MEETING AT GRANT COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS AND STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS

It appears the commissioners are ignoring the public input regarding the large scale industrial power sites proposed for rural communities throughout Grant County.  After months of work and public engagement the Area Plan Commission (APC) drafted and approved an ordinance (#7) that took into account the concerns of their citizens.  This ordinance was rejected by the commissioners and replaced with one that completely ignored all our concerns for one that clearly favors solar companies over the citizens they were elected to represent.

ITEMS IGNORED

  • LOSS OF FARMLAND AND RELATED JOBS
  • PROPERTY RIGHTS AND VALUE PROTECTION FOR ADJACENT HOMEOWNERS
  • SETBACKS FROM AFFECTED HOMES AND COMMUNITIES TO SOLAR FIELDS DRASTICALLY REDUCED
  • BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS (BZA) APPROVAL ELIMINATED

We are not against ALL solar

We are Grant County Citizens for Responsible Solar
