We have reached 4000 signatures but we need to bring many many more voices together so that the Canadian government will realize that we must stop horse slaughter here and stop sending our horses abroad to be slaughtered - and we are not alone in this fight:

In the USA there are advocates fighting to bring in the SAFE ACT (Safeguard American Food Exports) which would permanently ban horse slaughter in the U.S. and end the export of horses for slaughter abroad. The bill was introduced on February 4, 2019 as H.R.961 by Reps. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) and Vern Buchanan (R-FL).
