Hi! Thanks again for your support. The last few days I have been dealing with a family emergency, however I wanted to send this to remind everyone that this is far from over. This is not about keeping college graduates from being accountable. This is giving college graduates, like myself, and millions of other graduates a chance at life that we expected from the moment we first enrolled. I came to school to follow my dreams and to improve my livelihood. I've been on section 8 and food stamps. I worked low-income jobs, I did not think I would ever have a chance to pursue my career. I never thought I could have a career that is fulfilling and allows me to help people change their lives. Think about the domino effect this can have on your community, your city, and maybe even the country. Think of how many more alumni will become donors to their schools if they just changed this one policy. Think of how many more people can be brought out of poverty, including myself. Think of how many more services can be created for other people who are in need just because this one policy is changed and will allow their graduates to work in a position that would allow this to happen. This is more than just releasing transcripts. This is about giving people who have gone into 1000s of dollars in debt to get an education in order to provide better for their families, follow their dreams, and give back to their communities through their careers.
Make sure you share this with all of your friends and family, especially if they are college graduates myself. Also, feel free to share this with any university who have these same policies in place that are holding well-deserving people back from lucrative opportunities and potentially having productive lives in our society.
Peace and blessings!
