Petition delivered to Ted O'Brien

Blanche Tsetong and Debbie Day met with Ted O'Brien, our Federal MP, this morning, who received the petition with interest. He has promised to discuss the issue with relevant stakeholders and to ensure it makes its way to the committee who assesses petitions for parliament. WIN local news met the petitioners at Mr O'Brien's office before they headed into the meeting, and the story will be aired tonight. More people are starting to realise that the exponential increase in aircraft movements over the coming years will impact everyone on The Coast, not just those who live nearest to the airport. Ensuring that the curfew is put in place before this happens is vital. Keep those signatures coming!
