Just got a response back from Chris Mathias, and as of right now, HB547 is officially DEAD. That said, the last update I heard is that this isn’t the end of the conversation, it’s a pivot. The plan is for it to be rewritten, and a new version could come back in a different form. So while this specific bill is done, we still need to stay alert and keep eyes on what they replace it with. As soon as I hear what the rewritten draft looks like, I’ll share the details.
