On 30th January 2023, Chief Justice Martha Koome, said that SGBV courts will soon be rolled out across the country, with the first-ever SGBV court in Shanzu being relocated to a new site in Mtwapa to ensure justice is served. 

The Chief Justice said this while in a meeting with Danish Ambassador to Kenya Ole Thonke and the Ambassador of Sweden Caroline Vicini. 

This comes five years later after the Launch of Kilifi Gender Based Violence Recovery Centre on 1st July 2016. 

This is an improvement in the fight for justice for SGBV victims. 

There is more power in unity than division.
