Petition updateStop Forcing Mail-Order Pharmacy as the Only Option of CoverageAction Alert! Jan 11th Board Of Pharmacy Meeting - Virtual Attendance Request

I hope that you'll be able to attend the virtual meeting.

January 11th at 11:30, the Missouri Board of Pharmacy will be holding a meeting to discuss the temperatures and mail order pharmacy. The Board of Pharmacy in Missouri has a great regulation in my state that they refuse to enforce. The regulation states that medications should be stored within the guidelines of the drug manufacturer or USP's (which per USP is the storage range on the bottle). Upon filing a complaint with evidence that the pharmacies are not adhering to their Board's regulations, the Board did not enforce their own regulations.

The discussion on Thursday with the Board of Pharmacy will kick the can down the road and require location tracking, not temperature. Location tracking alone will do little to protect patients.

We need heroes to show up and at least listen in. If you can be brave and give the Board 2 minutes of your comments, that would also be helpful.
The link should be posted to the Missouri Board of Pharmacy's website under meetings. Virtual attendance will be allowed. I'll post the link here too when we receive it.

If you try to find the meeting on the board site as of today, it would be difficult. I was unable to find it, but only know due to a conversation with the Executive Director.

This is another issue that needs to change. For the public to be more involved in pharmacy issues, we need greater advance notice and a breakdown of topics in easily understood written language. Right now, we are mostly at the hands of a few good board members or insiders.

I'll share the link to the petition as soon as I see it!

Thank you!
