Many patients have been forced to a mail order pharmacy that has delivered damaged or ineffective medications.

Sadly, some may not realize that their medications are not working due to the extreme heat because they are not warned that temperature matters and no one is monitoring the exact temperatures that our medications are being exposed to in the heat. Although, it is known that trucks and mailboxes reach 120 to 170 degrees. Most medicines are not protected from extreme heat as most are shipped in only a bag and left in hot trucks and mailboxes.

I'll update you on the Arizona Board of Pharmacy Meeting this weekend.  I'm very thankful for Arizona's Board of Pharmacy showing true concern for this issue, allowing patients and advocates to speak to the issue, and confirming that there will be further discussion. As long as the Board is trying, there is hope for change. We will keep working across the United States until federal change comes.
