Optum RX, Express Scripts & CVS Caremark are PBMs or pharmacy benefit managers that have merged with mail order pharmacies that they often force patients to use. Your voice can save lives and our nation's access to pharmacies. The Federal Trade Commission or FTC is holding an open public meeting tomorrow for people like us to share their concerns. I have signed up. Will you too? You can attend by zoom, submit a video or written comment.

The stories from patients that have been shared on this petition include hospitalizations when medications don't arrive on time, drugs come ineffective due to improper storage as the FDA doesn't regulate mail order, medications that don't arrive at all, poor communication, pharmacy closures, price gouging, & the lack of critical face to face relationships for patients. This is patient abuse and neglect, and it's time for it to end.

PBMs along with drug manufacturers, make deals to determine what medications are included on the formulary or list of covered drugs and the price that we pay. Manufacturers have admitted to raising prices to give higher rebates/kickbacks to the PBMs although some patients never see the reduced cost. In fact, some still pay 100% of the cost prior to meeting their deductible. This has led to deaths as some ration or go without life-saving medications.

We need your voice.

Thank you for your help and support.
