Hello to our supporters who support patient choice of pharmacy.  

We continue to fight against the billion dollar corporations that lobby our elected officials by the millions of dollars. 

I travelled to Oklahoma recently to speak on behalf of patients in support of patient choice of pharmacy legislation. The video recording of the lobbyists words is a must-see.  

The lobbying group that I fight against, PCMA or Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, actually appeared like they should support patient choice of pharmacy legislation as they agreed that they could support legislation that would: 

• Lower healthcare cost
• Improve the quality of healthcare

Of course, the lobbyist was there to do the opposite. The lobbyist doesn't actually support legislation that would improve quality of pharmacy and safe access such as pharmacy choice as that wouldn't boost the profits of the insurance companies, PBMs, and pharmacies that they represent or help to hide their price gouging. 

Many states across our nation have found price gouging by the millions by the insurance companies and their pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) that own the pharmacies that patients are forced to use. These pharmacies have a 1-star rating on the BBB and many consumer reports sites. The social media sites of these pharmacies such as Optum RX, CVS Caremark, & Express Scripts are loaded with complaints. 

The same PBMs have been caught reimbursing their own pharmacies more than their competitors pharmacies. 

Please keep fighting and reaching out to your legislators. Let's not leave this poor pharmaceutical care behind for our children. I'll keep this petition alive until we see change. We will not give up.
