Petition updateStop Forcing Mail-Order Pharmacy as the Only Option of CoverageLet's Put Pressure on the FTC to Protect Consumers Against the Dangers of Forced Mail Order Pharmacy

Tomorrow, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will be holding a #slamthescamchat webinar.

The FTC claims to protect consumers against fraud. The definition of fraud is "wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain or a person or thing intended to deceive others, typically by unjustifiably claiming or being credited with accomplishments or qualities."

Do any of you feel protected against the abuses of insurance companies that force to their owned loosely regulated mail order pharmacies like Express Scripts, CVS Caremark, or Optum RX? I don't. Across our nation, many have experienced life-threatening delays and the lack of temperature control as most medications are stored improperly in only a bag as many are forced to mail-order pharmacies. No one warns patients about the lack of regulation and only patients suffer the consequences.

Tonight and tomorrow, I would appreciate anyone who would share a post on social media or a tweet on Twitter publicly informing of any issues with mail order pharmacies or pharmacy benefit managers. The reviews on social media and The Better Business Bureau's website prove that the issues with insurance owned mail order pharmacies are not new but are worsening quickly due to the lack of accountability and monopolization of the industry.

Please use your voice to raise awareness about the issues and help save lives. Use #NCPW2021 and #slamthescamchat.

I dream of the day of accountability, safe access to medications, and for patients to be seen as patients and NOT solely as profits.

We appreciate you!

Thank you,

Loretta Boesing
