This is a powerful and inspiring Pharmacy Podcast Network episode. I am very thankful for the support of pharmacists that have given me a platform to speak for the patients and caregivers. 

“I remember the first time that they told me that we were going to have to use mail-order pharmacy. I broke down in tears because I didn’t feel safe.”

“I have recorded calls begging them, please don’t make me risk my son’s life.”

Due to my advocacy, we now receive special treatment, but we realize that all patients deserve safe access to pharmaceutical care.

With the threat of Covid-19, we recently have switched to a local independent pharmacy that offers free delivery in a temperature-controlled vehicle. That's the best option for our family. 

I must say thank you to the pharmacists and patients who have taught me so much about the issues with mail-order pharmacy. Thank you to those who are fighting to improve the future of pharmaceutical care.

I hope that one day our medications are prioritized and handled as though they are necessary for human lives. I hope that one day we will have options to maintain the critical relationships with our trusted pharmacists. Together, I know that we can achieve it.
