In New York, Governor Cuomo has a bill sitting on his desk to sign that would begin to regulate pharmacy benefit managers such as Express Scripts, Optum RX and CVS Caremark that own their own mail-order pharmacies that they often force us to use. The bill will also protect patients and our trusted pharmacies from abuses of pharmacy benefit managers. 

This bill can be the beginning of regulating pharmacy benefit managers in New York and can set a standard for other states to follow.
