Amend the Emerson Act by WWNew York, NY, United States
Dec 10, 2021

Hello, advocates! Thanks so much for taking the time to sign the petition to amend the Emerson Act—we’re extremely excited you’re a part of the movement to end food waste and insecurity.

We have some exciting news: Two senators—Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.)—have officially introduced a bill that includes two of our three major asks of Congress (numbers 1 and 2 in the petition.) It’s called the Food Donation Improvement Act!

What that means: We’re making actual progress in the food system, getting closer to helping feed those in need and fighting food waste.

Where you come in: We need you to get loud. Now that the bill’s been introduced, let’s show Congress that their constituents care about this bill, so they should ensure it gets passed!
