We mourn the execution of Mojahed (Abbas) Korkori on June 11, 2025, following multiple sham trials marred by torture, forced confessions, and opaque legal procedures. Arrested on December 20, 2022, during nationwide protests, he was denied legal representation, imprisoned under inhumane conditions, and sentenced to death twice. His execution must serve as a global call: the death penalty cannot be used to silence dissent.
