On April 8, 2025, five political-security prisoners were executed at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, Iran. The individuals—Farhad Shakari, Abdolhakim Azim Gorgij, Abdolrahman Gorgij, Taj Mohammad Khormaly, and Malek Ali Fadaei Nasab—were convicted of "rebellion" (baghi) for alleged membership in groups such as the Salafi group "Party of al-Furqan" and the "National Solidarity Front of Iranian Sunnis."

These executions were carried out without prior notice to the families, denying them even the chance for a final farewell. This brutal act is yet another reminder of the ongoing human rights crisis in Iran—particularly the suppression of political dissent and the targeting of religious and ethnic minorities. The lack of due process and transparency is deeply alarming.

We cannot afford to stay indifferent. Silence enables injustice.

This is a call to all human rights defenders, organizations, and individuals around the world: Stand with us!  Speak out ! Raise awareness! Pressure governments and international institutions to hold Iran accountable for these violations.

We must not let these lives be extinguished in silence. We must demand justice and uphold the dignity of every human being—regardless of belief or background.
