Adding a 6-acre concrete "lid" over I-10 creates a "bathtub effect." If those drains clog with desert sand and debris, we risk catastrophic flooding on the highway below and in our downtown businesses. 2. "Non-Breathable" Air 💨 Building a massive deck over a freeway traps vehicle exhaust. Without constant, expensive ventilation, the air quality for drivers underneath and families on top could reach dangerous levels. We shouldn't have to choose between a park and breathable air. 3.
